Switzerland

1 August is the Swiss National Day. Campaigners wrote to all of the mayors in Switzerland with a flyer in French and German about cluster munitions, asking them to mention entry into force during their 1 August speeches. Twenty-two of the mayors responded positively, confirming that they would do so. HI Switzerland sent out a press release in advance of this. There was an advance press briefing at the Palais des Nations on 29 July.
