The “Adieu (Bye Bye) Bombie Cup”, organised by COPE took place on 6 August. The football tournament had 10 teams participating and was open to NGOs, international organisations, government departments and foreign embassies in Vientiane. The person who designed the statue outside of the COPE visitor centre, designed a trophy for the event made from cluster bombs. There was also an exhibit at the tournament showing art from 10 different UXO related organisations. The winner of the unique trophy was NRA.
