COUNTDOWN TO ENTRY INTO FORCE

JCBL celebrated the first anniversary of entry into force with a drumming event named “Hibike, Negai” Concert (meaning = Let it be heard sound aloud, let the hope come true.).  Shuichi Hidano, a famour drummer who participated in the entry into force event last year and his band named EnTRANS and a very famous folk singer, Hitoshi Komuro participated in the event.  The event took place on 7 August from 3-6pm at Tsukiji Honganji Temple, which is one of the oldest and most well know temples in Tokyo.  There was be a Buddhist memorial service for victims of cluster munitions and landmines.  Motoko Mekata from JCBL and Matsumoto who is a priest of Tsukiji Honganji temple will gave remarks before the drum concert.
