On 1 August the Irish Department of Foreign Affairs issued a press statement welcoming entry into force of the Convention on Cluster Munitions. On 2 August Afri (Action from Ireland) in partnership with the Bloom Movement for Global Justice held a drumming action outside Croke Park - the historic venue where the Convention on Cluster Munitions was negotiated and adopted by 107 countries in May 2008.
