There was a special Sunday mass in the cathedral in Jakarta to mark entry into force. JRS Indonesia and KINEFORUM Jakarta collaborated to celebrate the historic occasion. A drumming event took place, as well as an exhibition of photos by John R. “Ban Advocates” and “Unacceptable Harm” were also screened on 1 August and for the next two days. Speeches were given by Lars Stenger and Andy Rachmianto from the MFA. Balloons were released to mark the historic day. The event was attended by students & NGOs, as well as members of the media.
