Bangladesh

To celebrate entry into force Gono Kalyan Shangstha (GKS) put up a banner in front of the National Press Club, which is situated opposite the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. A public meeting was held at the same time in front of the national monument, with leaflets in Bengal being distributed. A letter urging Bangladesh to sign the Convention before the First Meeting of States Parties was also handed over to Zulfiqar Rahman, Director General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
