A press conference was held to mark entry into force. An action also took place in a park in Miraflores, Lima where the ISDH with the participation of volunteers and friends gathered 500 signatures asking the government to ratify the Convention.

In several actions carried out throughout the campaign, 5,000 signatures were gathered to be delivered to the President of the Congress asking for urgent action to ratify the CCM, as part of the Peruvian proposal for an “America free of Cluster Munitions”. A group of Canjoneros (Peruvian drum players) joined the celebrations and there were balloons launched at the event.
