Mozambique

Under the slogan “Toca o batuque Para banir Bombas de fragmentação“ (Beat the drum to ban cluster bombs) there were a number of events in Mozambique that many local partner organisations, government and other international partners in Maputo participated in. Letters were sent to the government urging them to ratify the CCM and information about the CCM was published in local newspapers. Information on the CCM and entry into force was shared via local TV and radio. Football matches were also used to promote the issue with the public. The captains of the participating teams spoke to people and invited them to advocate on the CCM with FOMICRES.
