On 30 July a press release was issued, followed by advocacy letters to the key relevant ministries of Defence, the Interior and Foreign Affairs. To celebrate EIF a march took place that was led by a scout band, and was later joined by the local drummers of the area. Later in the day a seminar was held at the Regional Education Centre hall where various speakers spoke on the issue of security and peace, focusing on the CCM. The seminar ended with drumming and singing.

On 6 August an open forum was held which included government officials, CSOs, parliamentarians, and security officers. On 7 August there was a cultural show that included drumming.
